Comic Con Coverage

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008

Hey guys ~

Just got in from Comic Con LATE last night/early this morning (ugh). I see that there has been some coverage of FRINGE’s presence there, but I believe I have a few things to share that you may or may not see elsewhere. For one, I videotaped the FRINGE panel (from the second row) - all I missed was the very last question to JJ, which didn’t even have to do with FRINGE (it was a question about the infamous box TED talk he did), so once I get that loaded, I will share it here. I also accidentally participated in the FRINGE Scavenger Hunt, so I have pics of that AND pics from the top of the parking garage where my friends and I got to see the MUCH more complete FRINGE pilot episode. To put one query to rest…YES, the episode was scored and YES (thank GOD) the music was done by Michael Giacchino. Also..I found an Easter egg in the Pilot that was NOT in the leaked version ;)

Okay, that’s it for now. Will start posting my SDCC stuff tonight!

FRINGE: Comic Con Panel Scheduled

Wednesday, June 18th, 2008

The Warner Bros. 2008 San Diego Comic Con panel schedule has been released and it lists FRINGE on the schedule for Saturday, July 26th from 4:45 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.. The room wasn’t listed on the announcement that came from Ducky Does TV, but I’ll post that as soon as it is available.

That Ducky Does TV link also gives the days/times for the following other Warner Bros. shows: Sarah Connor Chronicles, Pushing Daisies, Chuck, Supernatural and Smallville.

Thanks to Edward at FringeTV.blogspot.com for the heads’ up.

CLOVERFIELD: Premiere Pics

Thursday, January 17th, 2008

I know everyone missed the red carpet at the Golden Globes, so to make up for the lack of glitz and glamour, CLOVERFIELD threw a helluva party last night. Go check out these pics from the premiere. Thanks to my buddy q for finding them over at IESB.net.

For any M.U.D. members checking out the pics, THANK GOD Goddard finally cut his hair ;)

For the Trekkies ~ looks like the entire cast of the new movie was there.

Podcasts and LOST Weekend

Monday, April 9th, 2007

I apologize profusely for the lack of updates. Sometimes that is just the way life rolls ;)

I did want to let y’all know that Speaker and I DID actually record a podcast for the most recently aired episode “Left Behind.” It will be up around mid-week.

Also, I attended LOST Weekend 2007 the weekend before last, and I have many pictures and stories to tell. Keep an eye out for those to appear soon.

In the meantime, I hope you all are enjoying LOST and all other things Bad Robot. Hopefully I will be able to whittle my news alerts down to a manageable number and get y’all updated SOON!

LOST Weekend 2007 - Come One, Come All!!

Tuesday, January 16th, 2007

Like LOST? Like to meet other LOST fans? Like to bid on LOST-related swag that will benefit one of JJ’s fave charities? Like the possibility of rubbing elbows with some LOST VIPs? Well, then have I got a party for you!

LOST Weekend 2007* is this year’s LOST fan party and is open to any and all LOST fans, but reservations are on a first-come, first-serve basis - so DON’T DAWDLE!! There is a cap on the number of attendees!

The event will take place from March 30th through April 1st, 2007, at the Hollywood & Highland Renaissance Hotel (aka “The Ren”) located in L.A. LOST fans from all over the country (and a few other countries) are making the trip — YOU SHOULD, TOO! We’d love to have you there!

The main party will be held on the evening of March 31st at the Ren, which will include a silent auction on LOST swag, the proceeds of which will go to benefit the Children’s Defense Fund. Though VIP attendance is NOT guaranteed, in years past we have been honored with the presence of such notables as Bryan Burk, Damon Lindelof, William Mapother, Harold Perrineau, Daniel Dae Kim, Carlton Cuse and JJ Abrams, just to name a few.

So.. COME ONE, COME ALL!! Go to the official LOST Weekend 2007 website and register, as well as to get further details. In the meantime, here are some pictures to entice you, courtesy of myself and other partygoers (DO NOT STEAL!):

*This event was previously known as Destination: LA.

LOST stars interact with fans at HIFF

Monday, October 23rd, 2006

Lost actors Jorge Garcia, Michael Emerson, and Henry Ian Cusick, along with producer Jean Higgins participated in a Q&A session with fans at the Hawaiian International Film Festival this past weekend. Interesting quote from Jean:

Higgins said that it’s important that the island remain a mystery — especially to those living on it — because the show revolves around survival, and not understanding where you are is a key component to that. “We’ve always been careful not to reveal too much of it,” she said.

Season 3 of LOST premieres in Waikiki

Monday, October 2nd, 2006

As it has the previous two seasons, the Season 3 premiere of Lost was shown in Hawai’i for both cast and fans.  Thousands turned out on Saturday in Waikiki for the Season 3 preview, while the rest of us (Americans, at least) must wait until Wednesday.

LOST at Dragon*Con

Thursday, September 28th, 2006

The guys over at CinemaBlend put up a Dragon*Con edition of their WeeklyBlend podcast.  In this installment, they talk about one of the Lost panels that former Lost Labs scribe, Javier Grillo-Marxuach, held.  They also talk about the Mira Firlan panels, which were usually both Lost and Babylon 5-related.

You can listen to the podcast on the site, or download it.  The Lost stuff is just past the halfway point of the podcast.
