The lovelies at The Associated Press are sharing the goodies with us again.

Here is a link for a sneak peek at tonight’s Lost episode, which features 2 scenes — one with Locke and Desmond, the other with a handful of guys in the woods, but the only dialogue is between Locke and Eko.

Enjoy! Oh, and since it is unaired footage, I’ll slap a **SPOILER WARNING** (but it really does not reveal very much) ;)

Fandoms COLLIDE

Wednesday, October 18th, 2006

***SPOILER WARNING!!*** If you are a Battlestar Galactica fan who prefers to remain 100% spoiler-free (including casting spoilers) then STOP READING!!

There. I hope that was enough warning, because I don’t feel like cutting this one. Either in one of David Eick’s BSG Video Blogs or on one of the podcasts that Ron Moore does, they mentioned that they were in negotiations with a former Alias actor to come onto the show. Well, while watching the October 11th video blog (that I had somehow missed last week), the actor was revealed: Carl Lumbly!!

I cannot tell you how jazzed I am that two of my BIGGEST fandoms have collided. I ADORE Carl and was just wondering last week if he had anything new coming up. It is hard to tell from the video blog, but it seems like his BSG character, “Bulldog” (a pilot), may be a recurring character. Regardless, I can’t wait to see him on my TV again :D

“We Are Marshall” trailer online

Sunday, October 15th, 2006

Premiere magazine does a complete play-by-play of the first trailer out for “We Are Marshall,” which comes out in December and stars Matthew Fox. If you click the link, you can watch the trailer, too. Honestly, it has to be one of the most powerful movie trailers I’ve ever seen. Quote from the mag:

Fox voiceovers, “I promised mothers that I’d look after their sons — there’s not one of them left,” and if you aren’t weeping at this point, you are a meaner Irishman than I, because Matthew Fox can really sell some tragedy. How else do you explain six seasons of Party of Five?

Anatomy of a Deal

Things are going to be brief tonight, as I’m under the weather.

TVWeek.com posted this article about the ABC/iTunes deal and how it changed TV.

Hi-Res pic of Damon’s hat

Some nice, nice person from the land of ABC posted this link to a hi-res pic of the hat Damon wore in this week’s vidcast over on The Fuselage. I’m posting the image below:

Damon's Hydra Hat

This mysterious gift person also was nice enough to give a link to that vidcast on iTunes.

Disney tries to make local ABC affiliates happy

Monday, October 2nd, 2006

One of the main concerns with ABC/Disney offering streaming versions of episodes of shows like Lost for free, but with ads, online, was that the local ABC affiliates would lose their dollars from local sponsors.  This article from Reuters states that Disney has made a deal with the local affiliates.  Here’s the gist:

On Wednesday, ABC said it agreed to allow local affiliates to sell one ad per episode, in what it believes is the first time local ads have been inserted in a nationally operated broadband player.

Local stations can feature the broadband player on their Web sites and will keep all revenue from ads they sell for the player, Disney said.

Local ads now appear only when viewers access the player from a local affiliate’s Web site, but by next fall, the ABC.com site will seamlessly redirect users to their home markets, said Ray Cole, chairman of the ABC Affiliate Relations Board of Governors.
