First off, I want to direct y’all to a blog that will be THE place to find out anything and everything about FRINGE. As much as I’d like to say RIGHT HERE, there is just no way that I will have the time. So, for all your FRINGE obsession needs, be sure to bookmark or grab the feed for the following blog:

http://fringetv.blogspot.com

It is being run by this nice guy named Edward, who in the past couple of months has started that blog, a forum, a Facebook group, a Wiki and even a Flickr account for FRINGE fans. He is made of AWESOME.

From FOX, we have a few new links as well:

Official FOX SiteThough they misspelled Bob Orci’s name - UGH - it’s ROBERTO…not ‘Romberto.’ It’s fixed now ;)
Programming Information — Which for now has a breakdown of the characters, actors and premise for the show. Go check it out.

But the BESTEST thing to pop up yesterday for FRINGE were these two sneak peeks - SQUEE!

The premiere date is now in the sidebar. FRINGE will air Tuesday nights on FOX at 9/8 Central, following HOUSE.

FRINGE has officially been picked up by FOX for the 2008-09 television season. That’s all I know at this point. Will post more information as it is made available.

Can I get a “HELL YEAH!!!”? :)

FRINGE: Pinkner will be showrunner

Wednesday, April 9th, 2008

The word is that Jeff Pinkner has been brought in to be the showrunner for FRINGE. I would say this shocks me, but of course it doesn’t. JJ’s nepotism is notorious, so bringing in Pinkner - who has previously worked on ALIAS and LOST - makes perfect sense.

I would hazard a guess that we will recognize many more names as the FRINGE staff fills out - and that is fine by me.

FRINGE: Pilot Filming Almost Complete

Thursday, March 13th, 2008

According to this interview of Joshua Jackson by SciFiWire, the filming of the pilot of my next obsession (aka FRINGE) should be completed in the next week or so (they’re filming in Toronto, fyi). He also talks about how the dense 2-hour pilot script is what really drew him into the show. His character, Peter Bishop, is not your typical genius - don’t think Marshall. He’s not the geeky guy in the corner with the glasses and the pasty white skin - he’s much more of a reluctant (and somewhat snarky) genius.

If I haven’t mentioned it here before, THIS SHOW WILL BE YOUR NEXT OBSESSION. I’m literally bouncing in my seat with anticipation.

FRINGE: Jackson reluctant at first

According to this interview with Joshua Jackson over on SciFiWire, he turned the part of Peter Bishop on FRINGE down THREE times before finally caving in and signing a 6-year deal to do the show. I’m amazed that anyone could turn down the charming and engaging JJ - at least JJ uses his power of persuasion for good ;) Wonder if HEROES knows about him…

Also, you guys have no idea how PERFECT Joshua Jackson is for this role. Seriously, just trust me on this. This show will be your next obsession. Bank on it.

FRINGE: Writing Staff Filling Out

Friday, March 7th, 2008

There are few examples of perfection in this world. Fewer still examples of it within the realm of a television series. But for me personally, and for the group of you who know what “DHAF” means, the announcement that I’m about to make will be the closest thing to perfection we’ve seen in quite some time. In fact, I haven’t gotten this kind of a tingly “OMG THIS IS PERFECT” sensation since I first heard about some show called LOST ;)

There is no official announcement for me to link to, but I got it straight from the source and y’all will just have to trust me. Here goes (in H-font, because I’m that damn excited):

J.R. Orci (Alias, Journeyman) has joined the FRINGE writing staff!!!

Rick is a dear friend of mine and is wicked mad talented. From what I know about FRINGE, he is PERFECT for this show - and the show needs someone like him on it. Just trust me on that.

Congrats, Rick. You’ll never get rid of me now ;)

FRINGE: Pilot Director Named

Tuesday, November 27th, 2007

According to SciFiWire, the director for the planned 2-hour pilot of BR’s new television project, Fringe, will be Alex Graves (Journeyman, The Nine, The West Wing). Fringe has a series commitment from Fox and will begin production in February. Graves will serve as an Exec Prod, along with JJ, Burky, Bob Orci & Alex Kurtzman.
