CLOVERFIELD: Premiere Pics

Thursday, January 17th, 2008

I know everyone missed the red carpet at the Golden Globes, so to make up for the lack of glitz and glamour, CLOVERFIELD threw a helluva party last night. Go check out these pics from the premiere. Thanks to my buddy q for finding them over at IESB.net.

For any M.U.D. members checking out the pics, THANK GOD Goddard finally cut his hair ;)

For the Trekkies ~ looks like the entire cast of the new movie was there.

Cloverfield’s Slusho: Fave drink of HEROES?

Wednesday, November 21st, 2007

I giggled myself silly over this article over at /Film.com, because it proves that viral marketing campaigns CAN be fun when the people behind them are …well, Evil Puppet Masters ;)

It seems that the director of last Monday’s HEROES episode “Cautionary Tales” was Greg Yaitanes, and HEROES EP Greg Beeman revealed a series of photos of HEROES actors holding SLUSHO cups over at his blog that he says were set up by Yaitanes. Now, in the realm of “Six Degrees of JJ Abrams,” Yaitanes directed one of my favorite episodes of ALIAS, called “Another Mister Sloane” (Joel Grey FTW!!), plus two important episodes of LOST - “Solitary” and “Special.” So yeah, he’s connected to the BR boys in some fashion - but why these SLUSHO pics with the HEROES cast? The only explanation is a vague one (you’re shocked, I can tell):

Now, the next group of photos falls into the “don’t ask/don’t tell” category. I credit Greg Yaitanes for staging all these pix, under the supervision of Joe Pokaski. Their cultural significance will become clear in the coming months, so… pay attention!

For my fellow ALIAS fans, I would have to say that the following two pics were my faves:

And for those who watched Monday’s episode of HEROES, that cup that Elle (Kristen Bell) was drinking out of in her car while she waited with Mohinder at the beach should look VERY familiar ;)

Now, what the hell does this have to do with Cloverfield? No idea - but it’s fun, isn’t it? :D

Grunberg talks about JJ (and a little Trek)

Thursday, January 25th, 2007

The one thing you can never deny is that Greg Grunberg and JJ Abrams in one room can make any event better. They are at their best when they are teasing each other, which is exactly what Greg does in this small article from the Rotten Tomatoes website. He also mentions what he would like to play in the 11th Star Trek movie that JJ is working on.

The Futon Critic interviews Greg Grunberg

Monday, October 9th, 2006

Hold on a second…my sides are still hurting from laughing so hard at parts of this interview with Greg Grunberg that The Futon Critic did.

You know, it started out normal enough, but then Jesse Alexander (formerly with Alias, now an exec prod at Heroes) came into the interview and I couldn’t stop laughing. I LOVE interviews like this. *giggles*

*sigh*

Okay, I’m better now. Greg talks about how he got the part and how he harrasses Jesse endlessly (and Jesse harrasses him right back). I thought this part was interesting — in response to the question about his Heroes character not being in the pilot, Greg had this to say:

Plus, I think this is sort of my pat line, I think I told you this, I wasn’t in the pilot of “Felicity,” I wasn’t in the pilot of “Alias” and I was on those shows for nine years. And then as soon as I was in the pilot to “Lost” I get killed in the first five seconds. So I had no interest in being in the pilot.

Hee!

“Heroes” gets full season pick up

Friday, October 6th, 2006

It looks like the Ratings Gods have shined down on Heroes, thus securing a full season pick up from NBC.

Congrats on Felicity, Alias, Lost and M:i:III alum, Greg Grunberg, who stars with an ensemble cast!
