Thursday, January 3rd, 2008

There is a video interview with Matthew Fox over at EW.com where he looks very very pretty.

Oh, and I guess he talks about Season 4 as well. I didn’t listen, but ASSUME there are spoilery bits.

Foxy does Speed Racer press in Berlin

Thursday, June 14th, 2007

Foxy
Humminah Humminah

*cough* AHEM! The super cutetalented Matthew Fox was in Berlin for a big press conference about the upcoming Speed Racer movie, in which he will play “Racer X.” More photos from the press conference and bios of the cast can be found at the official site: http://www.SpeedRacerTheMovie.com. The movie is currently slated for a May 9, 2008 release.

I almost didn’t recognize Foxy without the scruff on his face. Big thanks to mysticxf from LJ-land for the heads up.

“How to Cry Like a Man”

Friday, February 2nd, 2007

…by Matthew Fox :)

The Time magazine article (of the same name) is a cool breakdown of Foxy’s acting talents and how he engages people he is speaking with. I like this little bit from the interviewer:

That’s Fox’s great skill: he’s the homecoming king who’s somehow interested in you. Dawson is planning a fishing trip with him. I, for one, am convinced that Fox cares deeply about what music I listen to, even though I own every Billy Joel album and he’s good friends with Billie Joe Armstrong from Green Day.

IGN’s LOST Panel breakdown

Friday, January 19th, 2007

I’ve read enough of these summaries of the Lost panel from the TCA press tour to know that THIS ONE by IGN is probably the only one you need to read. These guys must have taped the thing, because the article is FIVE PAGES long (and includes pictures, which is always a good thing).

I haven’t had a chance to read the entire article yet, but read enough to know that it does contain SPOILERS for the rest of Season 3 and various characters’ storylines.

Kristin’s TCA LOST Panel Blog

Thursday, January 18th, 2007

I finally had a chance to read Kristin Veitch’s “live blog” of the Lost panel at the TCA’s last weekend. You can find it HERE. She did have a few tidbits that I had not read elsewhere, including a confirmation that Kate and Sawyer were taken by Ben to help in manipulating Jack to perform the surgery. There ARE SPOILERS, so be wary.

ALSO — if you are a fan of Heroes, she mentions a SPOILER for that show as well. You’ve been warned.

Foxy a little TOO honest?

Thursday, January 18th, 2007

I have not read the actual Men’s Journal article that got quoted in this AP article, and I’m pretty sure I don’t want to. I am a fan of Matthew Fox — I really am. But the stuff he says in that article, whether it be true or not, is just stupid. Is he afraid that he is coming off as being too boring or something like that? GEEZ!

Monday, November 6th, 2006

IGN has interview up with Matthew Fox wherein they ask him about the two movies he filmed last Summer (”We are Marshall” and “Vantage Point”), as well as Lost. Nothing spoilery.

Watch Foxy’s new movie at Sam’s Club

Friday, November 3rd, 2006

Hee! I love making up titles that make people think, “Wha- ?” In some kind of “ground-breaking” advertising gimmick, Sam’s Club (yes, as in Wal*Mart-in-bulk) has made a special deal to show Matthew Fox’s movie “We Are Marshall” at some of its stores BEFORE the movie hits theaters.

Hopefully they will arrange for seating other than those handicap carts.

The everchanging cast of LOST

Thursday, October 19th, 2006

William Keck at USA Today posted an article that looks at the everchanging faces in the cast of Lost. There are tidbits from Yunjin and Foxy on there feelings about the addition, yet again, of new cast members this season. Here is an interesting bit about the cast changes possibly being responsible for the dip in audience numbers this season so far:

But is tracking the vast cast contributing to a viewership slide? (Last week’s episode drew 16.9 million viewers, compared with 21.7 million for the same week last year.) Cuse says no and attributes the dip instead to the plot’s complexities.

“Lost has a whole history behind it,” he says, “and some casual viewers think it’s daunting to come watch the show if you haven’t been. We tried to design the show this year to make the basic concept pretty simple: our characters vs. The Others.”

“We Are Marshall” trailer online

Sunday, October 15th, 2006

Premiere magazine does a complete play-by-play of the first trailer out for “We Are Marshall,” which comes out in December and stars Matthew Fox. If you click the link, you can watch the trailer, too. Honestly, it has to be one of the most powerful movie trailers I’ve ever seen. Quote from the mag:

Fox voiceovers, “I promised mothers that I’d look after their sons — there’s not one of them left,” and if you aren’t weeping at this point, you are a meaner Irishman than I, because Matthew Fox can really sell some tragedy. How else do you explain six seasons of Party of Five?

Who are “The Others”?

Monday, October 9th, 2006

USA Today examines the S3 premiere of Lost, The Others and what we learned about them. Article also includes brief profile on three of The Others: Ms. Bea Klugh, Mr. Friendly and Ben (f/k/a the fake Henry Gale).

They interviewed Foxy for the article. Interesting quote from him:

“I honestly think it’s going to be the best year yet. I can tell by the way the producers are talking about the year ahead that the show’s going to do a lot of things it hasn’t done.

“And philosophically, it’s going to touch on some cool issues.”

There are also soundbites from Carlton and Michael Emerson. WARNING!!! Some spoilery talk about this season!!
