Sorry for the delay in getting the 4th EPM podcast to y’all. Speaker wanted to make it EXTRA SPOOKY for Halloween (at least, that was the excuse he gave ME).
Also, I’m a bit behind on news updates, but I should get caught up today. Thanks for being patient ![]()
This article from the Pop Matters website makes a brief mention of Lost’s ratings decline this season, but then goes on to discuss four ways that the show has influenced modern television shows that share the airways with it.
What an awesome way to help teenage girls fight back against potential abductors! Two teens from Vancouver, Dallas Jessup and Catherine Wehage, wrote and produced a 45-minute self-defense video for other girls their age. Josh Holloway and Evangeline Lilly got involved through a cousin of Catherine’s that works on the Lost set.
You can download the video for FREE from the “Just Yell Fire” website.
Well, I guess I should have actually POSTED my notes about “Every Man For Himself” here, since Lauri from The Associated Press used some of them for that video round-up I linked to
*NOTE: This is not EVERYTHING from that episode, but this is the stuff that I made note of during the episode and researched that night. Enjoy!
The Associated Press has their new video round-up for “Every Man For Himself” out.
You may notice credit given to a certain site *coughTHISONEcough* for helping out with the Easter Egg Hunt in this Lost episode. Gotta keep the public informed, y’know? ![]()
Seriously, how AMAZING does Jennifer Garner look in this photo? The picture was taken at the Hollywood Awards, where her hubby Ben Affleck received a supporting award for his movie “Hollywoodland.”
In the new Star Trek Magazine, Battlestar Galactica helmer and former Star Trek writer, Ron Moore gives a thumbs-up to the selection of JJ Abrams to make Star Trek: XI.
All of you UK viewers can head over and vote for Lost (Best Drama category), Matthew Fox (Best Actor) and Evangeline Lilly (Best Actress) in the National Television Awards. These are voted on by the viewers, and you can vote until the ceremony is held on October 31st. Results will be shown on ITV1 on November 1st.
Ever wondered where the “we’re all interconnected” theory came from? And no, I’m not just talking about the “Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon” game (which, ironically, is not mentioned in the article). This article from the National Post starts off talking about the Six Degrees television show, and then examines the different manifestations of this theory in book, play and movie form.
There is a review of Jennifer Garner’s movie “Catch and Release” over at Cinematical. It’s kind of a wishy-washy review — she doesn’t necessarily RAVE about the movie, but she doesn’t RANT either. Pick a side, sweetie.
I just got spoiled by SciFiWire *pouts* I know, it kind of comes with the “job” but still…I do try very hard not to get too spoiled. But since I know some of you guys ride the Spoiler Train, far be it from me to not share
In this snippet from SciFiWire, you get a casting spoiler and a plot spoiler (which doesn’t give THE spoiler, but at least that it will be revealed in this episode — which only makes sense to Lost fans). We also get the episode title, which I am not going to reveal here just yet due to ITS spoilery nature. It is written by The Vegas Act, and will be directed by one of my long-time favorite Alias directors, Tucker Gates.
My mind was blown just trying to imagine the awesomeness of this episode. Can. Not. Wait.
If you click on this link, you can watch two scenes from tonight’s Lost episode, “Every Man For Himself.”
One scene is with Sawyer, Kate & Benry, and the other is with Jack and Juliet. Enjoy!! Oh, and of course, this is SPOILERY for the episode (duh).
Thanks to Lauri at AP Video for the linkage ![]()
