The following comes from a press release from ABC:
LOST SURVIVOR GUIDE SPECIAL — WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 7 (9:00-10:00 p.m.) — ABC once again invites new and avid “Lost” viewers to take another look at one of the most talked about and critically acclaimed shows. “Lost Survivor Guide” will explore the series in a way that will bring new viewers up to date — but which current viewers will also find illuminating in anticipation of the return of the second act of the series’ third season. From the back stories of some of the most interesting characters on television to the mysteries of the island, “Lost Survivor Guide” will provide an insightful glimpse into the lives of some of the survivors of the doomed Oceanic Airlines flight 815. Hosted by “Lost” executive producers Damon Lindelof (also a co-creator of the show) and Carlton Cuse, the special will be told in a linear fashion, culminating from pieces of the back stories revealed over multiple episodes in the series, “Lost Survivor Guide” focuses on the flashbacks of a core of characters — illustrating who they were and what they were doing before the crash, and how the island has changed their lives, for better or worse. In addition, the island itself will be explored culled from events that have taken place which may reveal some of its secrets that might have been missed upon first viewing.

I’ve been meaning to post this for awhile, but kept forgetting. I get a number of hits here of people searching for the name of the band that performs the new What About Brian theme song. Well, the group is called Low Stars and the song is called “Calling All Friends.”
You can find out more about them on their MySpace.

William Shatner was in the Time magazine proverbial “hot seat” and answered their 10 Questions. Naturally, the forthcoming Star Trek: XI movie came up, as did JJ.
As usual, please take his ST:XI comments with a grain of salt

I just thought it was amusing that the blogger that claimed to have photos from a Brazilian airplane crash had used screenshots from one of the MOST POPULAR TV SHOWS IN THE WORLD…aka Lost. Hey look! It’s Evangeline Lilly! I didn’t know she was in a REAL airplane crash!
I had a huge gigglefit from this, so I thought I’d share

The one thing you can never deny is that Greg Grunberg and JJ Abrams in one room can make any event better. They are at their best when they are teasing each other, which is exactly what Greg does in this small article from the Rotten Tomatoes website. He also mentions what he would like to play in the 11th Star Trek movie that JJ is working on.

Anyone else having serious SpyDaddy withdrawals? Well, have no fear — Papa’s got a brand new bag…er, TV show. Victor Garber has been cast in the ABC pilot Eli Stone, which also will star Jonny Lee Miller (which made the geek in me *squee* because ZOMG — Crash Override/Zero Cool!!). The premise sounds interesting, so hopefully ABC will pick it up.

…and he LOVED IT according to this article from Entertainment Weekly. Doc gives four vague spoilery teasers about “Not in Portland” — plus this little gem of a quote:
Passing critical judgments on TV shows is technically not my department here at EW. That said, let the fact that I’ve watched the episode three times in less than 24 hours tell you something.
