I got sent the link below from ReelzChannel.com of interviews with fans as they left the theater after seeing CLOVERFIELD.
****Assume there are SPOILERS for the movie.****

Speaks for itself ![]()
I know everyone missed the red carpet at the Golden Globes, so to make up for the lack of glitz and glamour, CLOVERFIELD threw a helluva party last night. Go check out these pics from the premiere. Thanks to my buddy q for finding them over at IESB.net.
For any M.U.D. members checking out the pics, THANK GOD Goddard finally cut his hair
For the Trekkies ~ looks like the entire cast of the new movie was there.

Okay, so a crazy idea popped in my head, and the more I thought about it…the less crazy it seemed. This CLOVERFIELD movie is a big deal to Bad Robot. We all know that the critics are going to tear it up or tear it down, depending on their own agendas (yes, I’m jaded). But I know that the opinions that mean the most to the BR peeps are from THE FANS - which would be YOU and YOU and YOU and YOU, etc.
So here is my idea — first, BOOKMARK THIS ENTRY — then, after you go see the movie, COME HERE AND POST WHAT YOU THOUGHT ABOUT “CLOVERFIELD.” Just hit the comment button, and give me all ya got. My only request is that if you have criticism, make it constructive. After a couple of weeks, I’m going to send the Bad Robot people a “Valentine’s Gift” - your posts about their movie.
****NOTE: THAT MEANS THAT THE COMMENTS TO THIS POST WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR CLOVERFIELD!!! PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK!!
Now I’m all giddy ![]()
As has become tradition, ABC will air a LOST retrospective of Seasons 1 through 3 before the S4 Premiere. This one is called “LOST: Past, Present & Future” (heh - “future”…get it?). It will air on Thursday, January 31, 2008 at 8 p.m. (EST), with Episode 4.01 “The Beginning of the End” airing right after it at 9 p.m. (EST).
Taking a glance at ABC Medianet, I noticed that ABC is reairing the LOST Season 3 Finale - “Through the Looking Glass” - on Wednesday, January 30, 2008 from 8-10 p.m. (EST). From what I’ve heard about the Season 4 Premiere, we are all going to want a refresher beforehand. 4.01 picks up right where TtLG ended, at least with respect to the island story ![]()
The Fans4Writers site has finally opened up the new auction items. Along with the LOST S1 Card Set and autographs I told y’all about HERE, my good friend BOBBAAYYY has donated his Shannon Action Figure by McFarlane, still in the box, that was signed by the lovely Maggie Grace at the LOST Weekend Fan Party held last Spring.
To start bidding, go HERE.
Bid high and bid often. Bidding is live now and ends next Monday, January 21st.
Crave Online has posted a bunch of new photos from CLOVERFIELD, including some behind-the-scenes shots. My fave is below:

That’s JJ squatting on the left, Matt Reeves standing in the center, and Burky squatting on the right. Some of the photos and info at Crave are spoilery, but no shots of the monster
The viewing of the completed film for cast and crew was yesterday, and I have been told that it was something truly special to see. I can’t wait to see it!!! The taunting has been merciless.
I should wax poetic on Damon’s contribution (posted on 1-2-08) to the fantastic Why We Write blog…
But the piece speaks for itself.
Okay, I’m sure all of the LOST fans are giving a big “Well, DUUUUHHHHH!” to The Futon Critic’s pick for the number 1 television episode to air in 2007, but still - that is quite the honor. At least it is to people like me, who blog about how awesome everything that Bad Robot touches is, and who gets peeved on a regular basis when the awards shows turn a blind eye to brilliance they can’t quite comprehend.
That link takes you to the Top 10 (the entire list is for the Top 50 of 2007), which includes some pretty amazing television in and of itself. For “Through the Looking Glass” to get the top spot is pretty damn special. Congrats.
The Directors Guild of America announced their annual nominations yesterday. LOST got two noms:
Eric Laneuville - “Lost” (”The Brig”)(ABC)
Unit Production Manager: Pat Churchill
First Assistant Director: Richard Peter Schroer
Second Assistant Director: Meta Valentic
Second Second Assistant Director: Michael J. Musteric
Additional Second Second Assistant Director: Steven E. Simon
Jack Bender - “Lost” (”Through the Looking Glass”) (ABC)
Unit Production Manager: Pat Churchill
First Assistant Director: Richard Peter Schroer
Second Assistant Director: Meta Valentic
Second Second Assistant Director: Wainani Young Tomich
GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU!!! Well deserved, I might add.
I wanted to give y’all a heads’ up on an auction item that I am donating/arranging for the Fans4Writers Silent Auction. All the proceeds are now going to the Writers Guild Foundation Industry Support Fund - can’t beat that cause, so I am coughing up a piece of swag that was given to me a couple of years ago.
I am donating a COMPLETE set of LOST Season 1 Trading Cards, still in the Inkworks shrink wrap. And if that isn’t enough to make you want to bid, I contacted a few people and managed to arrange for personalized autographs for the winning bidder from JJ Abrams, Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse.
Cool, huh? The next round of the auction starts Friday, January 11th and the bidding will go for 7 days.
Bid high and bid often. And don’t say I never gave you anything ![]()
I love it here so will probably still do bigger updates here after I’ve done small ones over on ITE but -
Spread the mother fudging word!
