Wow, you are so cynical…

I have a little bit different take on it though. I see it as a fun thing for fans, and for TPTB. If they went to the trouble of hiding things in the show, shouldn’t we want to find them?

FYI, there were way more Easter eggs in the Fringe Pilot, than just the MD plane engine.

The PEN ROSE Rebus, for example, turned out to be a solid hint for the second episode (Dr. Penrose). Of course, not everything is a clue, and I’ll admit, some people seem to think everything is a clue.

Technically, it was written by four people, but by WGA rules it can be credited to no more than 3. So yes, those 3 were part of the 4 who wrote it, but I was waiting until it was announced officially who was given credit.

as soon as i saw the words “J.J Abrams” slapped on the advert i got VERY excited, and i told pretty much everyone i know to watch fringe as soon as it comes out. so if i said that you were right about this, i’d be a bit hypocritical

As one of the biggest offenders I have to agree, but I think we are too close to it to be objective. Sure, the hard-core JJ Abrams fan may be overloaded, but what about the regular Lost fan, or Sci-fi fan, or just the general TV audience? Probably not.

Most people wont even see our Fringe blogs, forums, wikis, until after the show comes out, but by then all the hype will die down as well.

The release date for Comic #1 was supposed to be August 27, but it got pushed back. Hopefully everything else remains on schedule.

I case you haven’t seen it, we have scans of the Fringe preview comic from Comic-con, and some info about the team behind the Fringe comics.

Thanks you guys. Honestly, this was kind of a purging of what has been churning in my head for the past couple of weeks. Not trying to stir up trouble - just trying to air things out. I think there is more than enough room for a dozen FRINGE sites once the show starts. There is no need for the bickering at this point.
